Our Story
A lifetime of building opportunity
Robert Agarobe founded Helifix Operations in 1997 at Jacksons International Airport in Port Moresby. Over the following 25+ years, he grew the company into Papua New Guinea's leading aviation services provider — operating a modern fleet of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, and delivering thousands of flight hours in support of defence, government, oil & gas, and remote community operations across the country.
A qualified aircraft maintenance engineer, Robert built his career across PNG's aviation industry before establishing Helifix. He went on to serve as Governor of Central Province (2017–2022) and was awarded the Logohu Medal (CSM) in 2018 for his outstanding contribution to the aviation sector.
Robert Agarobe Lifeskill Academy represents the next chapter in his vision. Having laid the foundation through decades of leadership in aviation and public service, Robert is now creating clear, compliant pathways for Papua New Guineans to access quality Australian qualifications and meaningful career opportunities — empowering his people to build better futures both at home and abroad.
